Unboxing Your Trezor® Device

Before you begin, make sure you have received a genuine and untampered Trezor device. Check for protective seals and original packaging. The contents should include:

• The Trezor Model T or Trezor One hardware wallet
• USB cable
• Recovery seed cards
• Quick start guide
• Optional accessories (e.g., stickers, lanyard)

If you notice anything unusual or the package appears opened, do not proceed with the setup.

Step 1: Visit Trezor.io/Start®

Start™ by going to Trezor.io/Start®. This is the only official portal for initializing your device, installing software, and verifying authenticity. You’ll be guided through selecting your Trezor model and preparing for setup.

Never rely on third-party guides or unofficial tools during this process.

Step 2: Install Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the official desktop application used to manage your Trezor hardware wallet. It includes all the tools you need to:

• Install and update device firmware
• Create or recover your crypto wallet
• Send and receive digital assets
• Monitor your portfolio

Installation instructions are available directly at Trezor.io/Start® and are updated to support all operating systems.

Step 3: Initialize Your Trezor®

After connecting your Trezor to your computer via USB, follow the steps in Trezor Suite:

1. Install the latest firmware (if prompted)
2. Choose “Create new wallet” or “Recover wallet”
3. Set up a secure PIN code on the device
4. Write down your 12, 18, or 24-word recovery seed phrase

Important: This recovery phrase is your only backup. Never take photos of it, store it digitally, or share it. Trezor will never ask for your recovery seed.

Step 4: Manage Your Crypto

Once initialized, use Trezor Suite to manage a variety of supported cryptocurrencies. You can:

• Add multiple accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other assets
• View balances and transaction history
• Send and receive funds securely
• Explore additional features like staking and DApp integration (for supported coins)

Your private keys always stay on the Trezor device and are never exposed online. Every transaction must be confirmed on the device screen before being broadcast.

• Only begin setup at Trezor.io/Start®
• Never enter your recovery phrase on a computer or smartphone
• Use a unique PIN and store your recovery card securely offline
• Double-check transaction details on your Trezor device before confirming
• Be cautious of phishing sites or impersonators

Following these practices helps you maintain full control over your funds and eliminates exposure to online threats.
